Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.6 on February 5, introducing a 1-million-token context window in beta. The model was simultaneously deployed as an add-in inside Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

The cultural signal is in the deployment. AI is no longer something you visit in a separate tab. It is inside the spreadsheet you were already working in. The friction between 'using AI' and 'doing your job' is collapsing.

When the tool disappears into the workflow, adoption stops being a choice and becomes a default.
